Age of Chivalry 1.0.0 - 1. Welcome to Age of Chivalry! Thank you for installing the first release of the Half Life 2 multiplayer modification 'Age of Chivalry'. We hope that you will enjoy this release. - 2. Install notes. If all has gone right you should have a new folder under your Steamapps/SourceMods directory named 'ageofchivalry'. This folder contains all the data needed to play the game. - 3. Restart Steam In order for the 'Game' to appear in the list of games in Steam?, you usually need to restart Steam?. Recently Steam? was updated with the function to check for newly installed games after some time and update itself in the games list. But this new feature is not always reliable. - 4. About this Release. This is the first full release of the game. We have put together a collection of maps, player classes and weapons that hopefully will satisfy all kinds of player styles. Included in this release: - Two teams, Agathia Knights and The Mason Order. - Three Classes for each team, Archer, Footmen and Knight. - Nine main weapon choices for each team. Three per class. - Throwable weapons, see changes below. - Four Campaign maps, the included maps are: - The Shore, Dark Forest, Stoneshill, Overlook - One bonus map: - Helms Deep, from the Lord of the Rings? movies and literature. - All current materials for maps and models. - All current models, players and props. - 5. Changes and corrections in this release compared to Beta 1 == Maps == - Overlook - Helms Deep - The Shore - Dark Forest (Updated with bug fixes and new functions) - Stoneshill (Updated with bug fixes and new functions) - Westerlyn has been removed. == Weapons == - Throwable Dagger, given to Knights choice 1 and 3. - Throwable One Hand Axe, given to Knights choice 2. - Throwable Spear, usable by Archer choice 3. - Smokepot (Emits a smoke barrier), given to Halberdiers. == Functions == - Improved command menu (Used for Voice overs and other commands) - Spectator mode GUI added. - Support for HLTV added. - Quick class choice binds, you can now bind any key to select a certain outfit instead of going through the classmenu - HUD Target ID instead of overhead names. (Shows name at centerscreen when looking at a player), can be toggled on and off. - All ranged weapons have trails. Showing a white in-air trail making it easier to follow a weapon over long range) - Sound FX overhaul. (All weapons have unique sounds for each activity.) - New stamina functionality for weapons. (All weapon activities now has its own stamina settings) - Stamina no longer regenerates while performing an activity with weapons. - Weapons now splashes in first person view when hitting a water surface. - Disabled deflect animation on world hits. Hit on a blocking player will play deflect animation as before. - Player skins now change depending on the health level of the player. Three skins showing varying degrees of damage are available. Only third person models have this feature at this point. - The Oilpot now extinguish when it hits water. - New spawn handling code, this should remove current server crashes. - The weapon/shield block has less radius than before and only blocks from the front, not from above or below. - Changed command to add a bot from add_bot to bot_add, supports Mani Admin Plugin default setup. Bots have been improved slightly and now have weapon animations. - Ammo counter should now be visible in all common screen resolutions. - The Stoneshill Cow Health bar has been improved. - Added a dizziness indication shader when stamina goes below 10% - It's not possible to block or attack if the stamina is zero. - The attack damage is reduced with 50% when stamina is below 10% (Dizzy) - Red impact effect when hit. - Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements... == Content == - Evil shortsword model changed. - New Hand axe model for Throwable version. - Smokepot weapon model with animated smoke. - Crossbow model updated with changed skin and aim-pin. - New voiceover sounds. - New taunt sounds. - New impact sounds. - Battering ram model. - New chest models with gold, open and closed version. - New Evil Halberd Animations. - Pine tree model with several skins. - Background image changed for hud part of ammo counter. - Animated Health/Stamina bar. - New longbow animations, hand holding arrow no longer shows when drawn. - 6.
